About Us

Hello! I am James Alan. I am 55 years old and currently living in Los Angeles, United States. It is 40 years to go since I started the archery and now people call me “Toxophilite” due to my experience in hunting and athletic activities. I still remember the day when I appeared in state-level archery competition by NFAA and stood first.

I also worked in a well-known bow & arrow making company. After retirement, I teamed up with a few of my old friends and started hunting. We used to hunt animals and sell them in the market.

I started this blog to help young archers in the selection of the best bows. Bowsguide.com is a website that leads the archers to find the bow they are looking for. “John Octavio” and other authors joined this blog to share their knowledge.

What do we do?

We share a list of the best bows of a specific category and explain which aspect makes them different. You can easily compare these bows and find which one is perfect for you. Majority of the bowmen select according to their personal preference.

How do we do?

Finding the problem:

We use the latest technology to know what people are looking for. For example, if most of the people are looking for the best recurve bow but haven’t found the solution. We will be there to solve this problem.

Test the Bows:

We have access to a nearby archery shop. We use to test the bows and check which one is delivering high performance, ease, and comfort.

Check Buyers’ Reviews:

We check buyers’ reviews about selected bows. A bow with most positive reviews and ratings is considered good. These reviews are from authentic and confirmed buyers who bought that bow and tried for several years.

Experts’ Opinions:

We have a team of experienced hunters and bowmen. They have tried hundreds of bows during. They know, which is a high-quality bow? Which is best for children/men/women? Which is best for beginners? Their experience gives us the confidence to recommend a bow to our readers.

Why Amazon?

Amazon is no doubt the most growing shopping platform. It is almost working worldwide. We make sure that the product we select is available on amazon. This helps our international readers.

Also, Amazon is strict towards scammers. If you found low-quality or damaged product, you will be able to refund your money.
